AURA

AURA is a private residence located in the heart of Outremont, born from the complete transformation of a distinctive Montreal home. The project establishes a subtle dialogue between heritage and modernity, where architecture and interior design come together to create a cohesive and timeless living experience.

Restored red-brick masonry, original arches, mouldings, and woodwork are beautifully complemented by refined contemporary interventions. Natural stone, dark wood, black metal accents, and glass partitions form a sophisticated material palette, while natural light defines the spaces and highlights the elegance of the home's original proportions.

By celebrating the building’s architectural heritage rather than erasing its history, AURA reimagines a historic residence for contemporary living. The result is a thoughtful balance of character, functionality, and timelessness, reflecting a sensitive yet distinctly modern approach to architectural transformation.
